I have learned the hard way, that being passionate about making skincare products is not enough to make a profitable business. Business skills, knowing your niche, and having a clear understanding of branding and marketing must take priority over the creative process otherwise, discouragment and business failure will result from all our hardwork. Having been down the private label route, and missed some of this very important steps, it wasn't a very nice experience. I have learned from my mistakes and won't make them again. I now have my confidence back to start again, this time as a formulator, and hungry to learn every thing I can to be successful. This course is filling in all the holes I missed and I love the way the material clearly shows how branding must flow through every single part of the business, product/packaging/photography etc etc. I can see why I failed and have less doubts about 'making it' because I have filled the gaps in why I was not turning a profit. I have only completed the free material for now and it was very generous. I will be back to pay for the complete course, it's worth the investment. Thank you for putting your heart and passion into this, it really comes across that you don't want us to fail! x
